Know Your Customer
Network as Code provides identity and security features for matching customer records from the teleoperator to the ones you have been given to check the validity of provided information. This can be useful to prevent fraud where a customer provides falsified records, for example to gain access to goods and services that they otherwise might not be allowed. It can also be a convenience feature, where the accuracy of customer details can be checked to detect human error.
What does this feature do?
-
Match the customer's records, such as ID document numbers, names and addresses against their teleoperator records.
-
Check the customer's age based on their teleoperator records to perform ID-less age checks, bypassing the need for scans of identification documents or facial recognition.
Terminology and acronyms
- KYC Match - process of matching customer records against the teleoperator database.
- KYC Age Verification - process of acquiring the customer's age from teleoperator records.
What's behind this technology?
The Know Your Customer functionality follows CAMARA definitions for KYC Match and KYC Age Verification. CAMARA is an open-source project within Linux foundation. Network as Code bridges the gap between your application and the Operator platform making the connection seamless so you utilize KYC functionality across networks. After you register on Network as Code Developer Portal and get consent & authorization for devices, you will be able to easily use and integrate this API into your applications.
